Artist Statement
I have always enjoyed visiting art museums and appreciating the beauty of color and texture in the world around me. My favorite medium is oils because the colors are so vivid. Painting for me is an expression of my emotions. I love to apply the paint with heavy brushstrokes. I am influenced by the work of the impressionist painters especially Van Gogh and Monet.
